GIVE IT TO THE WATER Autumn Equinox Grief Tending Gathering, Tuesday 22nd Sept 7pm

There comes a point in every season when we are asked to let go. The Autumn Equinox is the moment of balance, day and night feeling more equal before the darkness begins to grow.

And nature doesn't resist this turning. The trees don't cling to every leaf. The fields don't mourn the ending of summer by trying to keep it alive.

They release. They trust. They return what is no longer needed to the earth.

This is the invitation of our Autumn Equinox Grief Circle.

A sacred space to come together and honour the grief we carry, whether that is grief for someone we have lost, a relationship, a chapter, a dream, a version of ourselves, or simply the passage of time and all that it asks us to surrender.

Because grief isn't only something that happens when someone dies.

Sometimes we grieve what we wanted life to be. Sometimes we grieve who we thought we would become. Sometimes we grieve quietly for things nobody else can see. And sometimes, beneath our grief, is a deep love that still needs somewhere to go.

This circle is not about fixing grief. It is not about forcing closure. And it is not about telling ourselves that everything happens for a reason.

It is about creating space.

To remember. To feel. To speak. To release. To be witnessed.

And to allow ourselves to stand at the threshold of another season without needing to have everything figured out.

Together we will work with the energy of the Equinox through ritual, reflection, guided journey, connection and sacred offering. We will honour what has been. We will gently explore what we are ready to lay down. And we will trust the wisdom of the turning Wheel, knowing that letting go is not the same as forgetting.

Come as you are. There is nothing you need to have processed before you arrive. You don't have to be "good at grief". You simply have to be willing to meet yourself honestly.

This gathering offers a communal space by the shoreline in Brighton to honour grief in all its forms, personal and collective. A space to pause with what is heavy, to acknowledge what has been lost, changed, or left behind, and to remember that grief is not something we are meant to carry alone.

The sea has long been a place of release, reflection, mourning, and renewal. A threshold between worlds. A place where emotion can move, soften, and return to something vast enough to hold it.

Together, we will share in gentle grounding practices, reflection, ritual, and communal witnessing beneath the final sunshine rays of summer. We will honour both the light that still exists, and the tenderness that may still need care.

We gather to breathe, to witness, to grieve, and to gently offer what we are carrying to the water.
